Soil Use and Management is an active peer-reviewed scholarly journal published quarterly by Wiley on behalf of the British Society of Soil Science. Launched in 1985, it publishes research in soil science, earth and environmental science, agricultural science, and engineering fields.

Each issue features original manuscripts that consider the underlying mechanisms governing the natural and anthropogenic processes that affect soil systems, while informing policy makers and/or practitioners on the sustainable use and management of soil resources. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary studies, such as linking soil with climate change, biodiversity, global health, and the UN’s sustainable development goals, with strong novelty, wide implications, and unexpected outcomes. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest.

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1985 and 1992.
