The Serials Librarian: From the Printed Page to the Digital Age is an active peer-reviewed academic journal currently published quarterly by Taylor & Francis. Launched in 1977, it publishes research on scholarly communication and all aspects of serials and other continuing resources, such as e-books, monographic series, and databases.
Each issue features original articles and case studies written by and for librarians, publishers, database creators, subscription agents, technology providers and others who provide content to library users. Published papers cover a range of topics concerning the full life cycle of print and electronic scholarly resources, from publishing and purchase to usage analysis and deselection. It also periodically contains in-depth interviews with leading figures in the field. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 2003 and 2010.
