DESCRIPTION
Runner's World is an active lifestyle magazine published monthly in the United States by Hearst. Launched in 1966 by American runner Bob Anderson as Distance Running News, it focuses on running as a sport at all skill sets.
Each issue features original articles, information and news pieces related to many aspects of the sport, including gear, habits, techniques, nutritional breakthroughs, and details on races. The magazine gained popularity in the 1970s during the “running boom” that was particularly pronounced in the United States and occurred in other countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and in Europe, and remained strong through the so-called "second running boom" in the late 1990s.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1971 and 2016.
