Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases is an active peer-reviewed medical journal published bimonthly by Elsevier. Launched in 1958, it publishes the latest research concerning the understanding and treatment of disorders of the heart and circulation.

Each thematic issue features original articles covering a single topic of importance in cardiovascular medicine, including new developments in both research and practice as well as reviews on the management of particular clinical problems in cardiology. Some issues also contain special articles or proceedings from relevant conferences and symposia.
