Parnassus: Poetry in Review was an American literary magazine published annually by the Poetry in Review Foundation. Founded by Herbert Leibowitz (editor) and Stanley Lewis (publisher) in 1972, it published original poetry and extended critical reviews on individual poets and movements, before ceasing publication in 2019.
Each issue featured original poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews of recently published titles, accompanied by original artwork, including commissioned portraits of poets by both established and emerging artists. Occasional special-focus issues were dedicated to a particular theme, for instance women and poetry, the long poem, words and music, autobiography, multiculturalism, and poetry and movies. During its tenure, the magazine published contributions from a number of leading writers and literary critics, such as David Barber, Sven Birkerts, Hayden Carruth, Guy Davenport, Mary Karr, Wayne Koestenbaum, Seamus Heaney, Adrienne Rich, Helen Vendler, Eric Ormsby, and Marjorie Perloff.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1989 and 2010.
