Nursing Standard is an active peer-reviewed nursing journal published weekly by RCNi, a subsidiary of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). Launched in 1987, it publishes the latest research, developments, and best practices for nurses and health professionals.
Each issue features articles and in-depth analysis of current nursing news and practice, together with continuing professional development and career information, book and journal reviews, and relevant conference listings. Published papers cover a range of clinical topics—including blood, cardiorespiratory, continence, critical care, diabetes, end of life, gastrointestinal, infection prevention and control, medicines, mental health, neurology, nutrition, pain management, surgical care, and skin/wound care—as well as professional issues, such as workforce, leadership, nursing regulation, healthcare funding, patient experience and nurse well-being.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1990 and 2015.
