Media, Culture & Society is an active peer-reviewed academic journal that covers interdisciplinary media studies. It was established in 1979 and is published eight times annually by Sage Publications.
The journal provides an international forum for the presentation of research and discussion concerning the media, including the newer information and communication technologies, within their political, economic, cultural and historical contexts, regularly engaging with a wider range of issues in cultural and social analysis. It focuses on substantive topics and on critique and innovation in theory and method.
Crosscurrents is a regular dialogic space within Media, Culture & Society for articles that debate, critique and reflect on current issues in media and communications research aiming to stimulate discussion around emerging questions, trends, themes and concepts in the field.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 2001 and 2010.
