Journal of African Business is an active peer-reviewed scholarly journal currently published quarterly by Taylor & Francis. Launched in 2000, it is the official journal of the Academy of African Business and Development (AABD) and publishes the latest research concerning the advancement of business development in African nations.

Each issue features original articles covering a range of topics that further better understanding of business practices and the advancement of business knowledge in or with Africa, as well as studies based on countries outside Africa that address issues relevant to African business. Aimed at academics, policymakers, consultants, and executives, published papers cover all business disciplines and subject areas, including accounting; agribusiness management and policy; business law; economics and development policy; entrepreneurship and family business; finance; global business; human resource management; information and communications technology (ICT); labor relations; marketing; management information systems (MIS); non-profit management; operations and supply chain management; organizational behavior and theory; organizational development; service management; small business management; social responsibility and ethics; strategic management policy; technology and innovation management; tourism and hospitality management; and transportation and logistics. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest. 

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 2005 and 2010.
