Information Economics and Policy is an active peer-reviewed scholarly journal published quarterly by Elsevier. Launched in 1983, it publishes policy-oriented research on the production, distribution and use of information.

Each issue features original articles aimed at researchers, government, and professionals involved in the policy-making process, together with shorts and surveys. Published papers cover a range of interdisciplinary subjects, including the economics of the telecommunications, mass media, and other information industries; the economics of innovation and intellectual property; the role of information in economic development; and the role of information and information technology in the functioning of markets. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest. 

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1989 and 2011. No issues were published by the journal in 1985 or 1990-1992.
