Each issue features original articles, review essays, short reports, commentaries, and perspectives that focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of disease and illness toward the goal of health equity for all populations. Published papers cover a number of disciplines and employ quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and systems science to elevate policy-relevant research and practice that acknowledges the roles of social networks, families, and communities in regards to health. Occasional special-focus issues and themed supplements are dedicated to a particular topic of interest.
