Deep-Sea Research was a peer-reviewed scientific journal published monthly by Pergamon Press. Launched in 1953 as Deep-Sea Research, it changed its name to Deep-Sea Research and Oceanographic Abstracts in 1962, before resuming its original title in 1977. In 1979, the journal split into two parts: Part A: Oceanographic Research Papers and Part B: Oceanographic Literature Review.
Each issue featured original articles on the latest research concerning the fundamental oceanography of the deep sea in the broadest sense. It also contained notes, announcements and notices, and reviews of new books, together with abstracts and a bibliography of recent literature in oceanography and related disciplines.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1953 and 1978.
