Deep-Sea Research. Part I, Oceanographic Research Papers is an active peer-reviewed scientific journal published monthly by Elsevier. Launched in 1993 as a partial continuation of the periodical Deep-Sea Research. Part A, Oceanographic Research Papers, it publishes the latest research concerning the fundamental oceanography of the deep sea in the broadest sense.

Each issue features original articles reporting on results of original scientific research, including theoretical work of evident oceanographic applicability, together with Instruments and Methods papers that focus on novel solutions of instrumental or methodological problems. It also contains short communications and reviews on any aspects of the deep sea. Occasional special-focus sections are dedicated to a particular topic of interest or area of concern.

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1993–1996 and 1999.
