Agricultural Systems is an active peer-reviewed scientific journal currently published monthly by Elsevier. Launched in 1976, it publishes multi- and interdisciplinary research concerned with the interactions within or among agricultural systems components and other systems, as well as their natural, social and economic environments.

Each issue features original scientific papers, short communications, reviews, perspectives, and comments that address whole-farm and landscape level issues, through the integration of conceptual, empirical and dynamic modeling approaches. Published papers cover the development and application of systems analysis methodologies across a number of subject areas, including agroecology and the sustainable intensification of agriculture, resource allocation, interactions between agricultural and non-agricultural landscapes, services provided by agricultural systems, and the adaptation and transformation of agricultural systems, among others.
