Adoption Quarterly is an active peer-reviewed scholarly journal published quarterly by Taylor & Francis. Launched in 1997, it publishes multidisciplinary research on issues related to adoption and foster care, as well as the psychological and social meanings of the word "family."

Each issue features original articles relevant to both practitioners and researchers that address and examine ethical, biological, financial, social and psychological adoption issues, such as negotiation of birth and adoptive family contact; identity formation in the context of adoption; adoption as a premier paradigm for studying the interactions of nature, nurture, and the lifelong development of the adoptee; adoptee adjustment in a life-span perspective; and adjustment issues for birth and adoptive parents. It also periodically contains reviews of new literature relevant to the field. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest.

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 2008 and 2009.
