Administration in Social Work, now known as Human Service Organizations: Management, Leadership & Governance, is an active peer-reviewed scholarly journal currently published 5 times a year by Taylor & Francis on behalf of the Network for Social Work Management (NSWM). Launched in 1977, it acquired its current name in 2014 and publishes the latest research and practice in nonprofit and public sector human service organizations.
Each issue features articles on contemporary management, leadership, and governance issues facing human service organizations. Published papers cover a range of topics related to managing and leading organizational innovations, the role of leaders in organizational change processes, collaboration and competition across public, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors, strengthening organizational-environment relations that promote community involvement in human service organizations, and methods for promoting the involvement of service users and other critical stakeholders in management and governance. Occasional special-focus issues are dedicated to a particular topic of interest.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 2002 and 2011.
