I stumbled upon this wonderful website while doing research for information on a used bookmobile. During the 70's & 80's a motor home manufacturer named BARTH made the Rolls Royce of motor homes, mobile xray labs & bookmobiles. In my search, I just found: 1989 BARTH REGAL 28', Motor Home, 72,100 miles, Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel, Allison AT542 trans., dual ac, new 5500 generator, John Deere Osh Kosh chassis, 178" wheel base, duals, Book mobile conversion, almost complete, motor home tilted. $6,500.330-223-1268, 32078 Washington St, Kensington, OH, 44427. This unit is thousands of dollars less than anything comparable and sounds like what you need to reconvert for your purpose These engings last for 100's of 1000's of miles.
