A 're-imagining' of the 1950 Coronet film featured at Archive.org, this film was assembled to celebrate the marriage of Daniela Votavova and Aaron Simpson. It was originally screened in Ceske Krumlov, Czech Republic for wedding guests on the eve of the ceremony. In 1979, some friends and I were messing around with a video camera in a slum area of town that had largely burned down and never been rebuilt. The video camera was old, with a heavy, over the shouder separate deck, obsolete even then. We saw some stuff flying around the buildings. At first we thought they were kites or maybe some radio controlled toy planes. We never did figure out what they were, but we got some of the stuff on video. Wakey Wakey is primarily a Prelinger mashup. The song is by Paul Libman and Dave Hudson from the musical "A Cabin with a View" which is playing summer 2007 at American Folklore Theatre. Paul Libman does all of the vocals and instruments. The musical is set in the fifties, so it was a perfect match for Prelinger material. The song itself is new and is under copyright.
