hey there,

i get signals from sflan8 11 13 49 52 and 56 from my place in cole valley but i dont get an ip address and cant connect to the internet, any ideas?

whats the password for the map?

I tested a few of those nodes and and no problem getting an IP address. I restarted the DHCP server, just in case.

To help to isolate the problem, may I ask what operating system and version you are using? Are you using any type of connection manager other than what came with the OS?

Ralf,
I thought that SFlan was dead, given no responses and no connectivity, and dead links from the
http://www.archive.org/web/sflan.php
web page.

But now I see there are still recent messages in the Internet forum.

What is the status of SFLAN? Is my 6the avenue Inner Richmond node still useful to anybody? Should something be done to make it useful?
